| | Epilepsy |
| | There are many types of epilepsy. The disease is caused by the poor |
| | communication of the brain and its nerve cells. If a sudden electrical |
| | discharge occurs in the brain then fits or convulsion occurs. Its is not yet |
| | known what causes the brain’s communication system to misfire or why this |
| | event occurs in some people. Research has shown that two out of three |
| | epileptics have no structural abnormality in the brain and that there is nothing |
| | visibly wrong. The remaining one third have some type of brain damage, |
| | infection or a brain tumor. |

| | Vitamin B6 in some cases has been shown to be a natural means of |
| | controlling the disease in infant suffering from these violent seizures. Brewer |
| | Yeast is a good source of Vitamin B. Ginkgo allows more oxygen to the bran, |
| | enhancing mental performance. Dr. Bazan has been doing studies that seem |
| | to suggest that that free radical scavengers may help epileptics. Vitamin E, C, |
| | Zinc, Selenium, Cystein and BTH are all considered free radical quenchers. |
